Frequently Asked Questions

Do you provide delivery and setup?

Yes!... Our Professional Delivery Service is standard for all of our items.

We also have our Po' Folk Pickup service available as well!   If you are on a budget and willing to pick up your items.. please let your Event Specialist know that this is an option.

How much power will I need?

All of our inflatables plug into a standard 110 household outlet* - We will supply the cord. If more than one item is rented we will need to ensure that nothing else is plugged into that circuit or that multiple circuits are made available. Placement of an inflatable should be no more than 100' from the power source. If you would like to set up an inflatable at a park or place without an electrical outlet within 100', a generator will need to be used and can be rented from us. Please note that we DO NOT keep a generator with us at all times... we will need to know if you need one ahead of time. *Note: some of our "mechanical inflatables" will require alternate power - this will be discussed with you upon inquiry.

What surface will the inflatable need to be setup on?

This is one of the MOST important questions that we will ask you at the time of booking. The best place to put an inflatable is on a flat grassy surface.  However, we can setup on most any surface inside or out but cannot setup on gravel , sand, or mulch. 

Note:  If we are setting up on a surface where putting stakes in the ground is not possible, additional equipment will need to be rented to ensure safe operation and compliance to state regulations.

What supervision is required with the inflatables?

We do not automatically supply attendants for our attractions but all of our larger or more difficult to attend pieces will automatically come with attendant(s).  

Any attraction that does not automatically come with a Blue Baboon attendant will require one.  One can be hired from Blue Baboons or you are welcome to supply your own.  If you elect to hire your own, we will spend a bit of time with them at the time of setup to ensure that they are aware of how to operate the inflatable safely.  Please make every attempt to ensure that your attendant(s) are on-site at the time of delivery so that we can do this for you.

Please be aware that the state of NC requires that an inflatable attendant be 18 yrs or older and in attendance "at all times".  If an inspector happens upon your event when an attendant is not in place, fines may be assessed.

Are you insured?

Absolutely! We are licensed, inspected, and carry insurance on ALL of our items.

Please be aware that this is not the standard - We are an exception! North Carolina is one of the strictest states when it comes to rules and regulations in our industry. Many companies are shut down every year for operating without insurance or without inspections. There are also many EVENTS that are shut down right in the middle of the event because the coordinator has used a company that was a bit cheaper but is not operating up to the NC laws for inflatable operation. This has NEVER happened to us - we follow the rules!

Do you require a deposit?

We do require deposits or all of our events.  Your deposit will be 50% of the total.  This amount is non-refundable but is completely transferable to any other event, person, place, thing.. any other anything w/in 6 months.  In the event that the invoice had been paid in full prior to your event and you need to postpone, any amount that we have received above the 50% can be refunded to you or kept on the account - The choice is yours.

What if the weather is not cooperating?

Rain is always a concern when you are hosting an outdoor event. We will do our absolute best to accommodate your needs in the event of rain. If the forecast is calling for a 60% chance or more, we will contact you to see if there are any changes to your plans and make any adjustments necessary at that time.  Once the trailer is loaded or we have received a request to proceed regardless of weather, the balance will be expected in full.   If you have elected to continue with your event regardless of rain and the equipment gets wet - additional cleaning fees will apply.

High Winds:  I am so very sorry but we cannot operate inflatables in high winds.  If you can imagine for a second...  inflates are like helium filled balloons.  When you add wind they can literally lose anchor and lift.  We reserve the right to shutdown or cancel an event when the sustained winds are too strong to operate safely. The same precautions in ensuring the success of your event that we exercise for rain will apply here as well.

Do I need to schedule extra time to allow you to setup?

NO! Please do not request your event time with our setup needs in mind. Your requested time should be the actual time of your event or time that you would like to reserve the item for. We will make arrangements on our end to ensure that your event is setup PRIOR to the time that you have designated as your "start time".

Will there be a delivery charge?

Due to the increased cost of gasoline, we have found it necessary to add a small zip code based Fuel Sur-Charge to some of our deliveries. Your Personal Events Specialists will advise you of this cost upon request or at the time of booking.

 What if I have to cancel or postpone my event?

Postpone:  Life happens.. we understand that.  In the event that you need to postpone your event, PLEASE think to contact us as soon as you can.  Your deposit, although non-refundable will be kept on hold and is fully transferable to any other person, place, event, any other anything for six months.

Cancel:  If you need to cancel your reservation, deposit will be surrendered. However,if you have provided notice PRIOR to your trailer being loaded, this amount can be easily transferred to another date,within six months.

Can I come pick it up and save some Moolah?

Absolutely!  We offer what we lovingly call our Po' Folk Pickup service available just for you!!!   If you are on a budget and willing to pick up your items.. please let your Event Specialist know that this is an option.
